Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course
This week i wanted to share more about the courses I run, in particular the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction one.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8 week course which supports the participant through a personal investigation of Mindfulness practices.
As a group, approx 8 people meet once a week for two hours to practice and learn about stress, its effects on the body, stress in interpersonal relationship and how Mindfulness practice can help radically reduce the causes and effects of stress as well as improve general health and wellbeing.
This course is for those who are willing to commit to a discipline of daily practice for the duration of the course and who are interested in uncovering their own innate wisdom.
The course includes 16 hours group work, and all supporting materials
The course covers topics such as living on automatic pilot, awareness and staying in the present, understanding thoughts and feelings, includes guided meditations, nourishing and depleting activities exercise and a stress reduction action plan.
Practising Mindfulness also improves emotional intelligence and increases resilience.
